Come Home to Yourself
Let’s Journey Home Together!!
About this Space:
I will be posting regular Qigong classes, Guided Meditations, Yoga Classes, Activities that Cultivate Imagination, Journaling prompts, Art prompts and anything else that is beneficial for the Journey Home to Ourselves.
We live much of our lives in our heads, completely absorbed by our thoughts and our problems. Most of us are not taking time for Self Care.
But what does this mean “Self Care”?
In the Simplest terms, Self-Care is setting aside time for yourself, it is becoming “embodied”.
It is coming out of the Mind and into the Body.
It is connecting with Nature, connecting with our Hearts, Connecting with our Souls,
Connecting with the Universe, A Higher Power, with God.
Coming Home is coming back to ourselves, to a simpler version more like we were when we were young.
Coming back to that place that allows us to Dream, to Hope, and to truly Love Life.
It is coming back to our Imaginations, to a place of deep Connection and Wonder.
I will share all the ways I have been doing this, all of the “tools” I have been learning, cultivating, creating, and using in my own life.
My Hope is the website will be an anchor point for you. A place to come to on a regular basis and Center Yourself.
A place that will encourage you to create anchor points within yourself and within your Life.
Qigong, Yoga, Meditation, Journaling, Imagination Activities are all vehicles that can help you strip away that which is not really you
and come back to that which is Authentically you or your Original Self.
What is Qigong?
“Qigong works as a comprehensive system that teaches individuals methods to preserve their vital energy,
cultivate it through specific practices, and then consciously lead and direct this energy within the body to maintain health, balance, and vitality.
Firstly, Qigong promotes a balanced lifestyle to avoid energy depletion.
Lifestyle choices that help preserve qi, such as adequate rest, balanced nutrition, moderate physical activities, and stress management are emphasized.
Secondly, through tailored practices involving gentle movements, controlled breathwork, and focused intention,
the individual cultivates and enhances their qi, refining its flow and enhancing its potency within the body's energy pathways.
Finally, Qigong teaches practitioners to consciously direct and guide qi within the body.
By focusing their intention and using specific movements and breathing techniques,
individuals learn to lead qi to areas that may need healing, balance, or revitalization.”
What is Qi?
“From a Western perspective, qi represents the dynamic energy fundamental to the body's physiological processes.
This energy is believed to be derived from the food we consume, the air we breathe, and our surrounding environment.
Although there's no precise Western definition of qi, the qi circulating within all living things is often likened to bioelectricity.”
-From the National Qigong Association
We would all benefit from slowing down and creating Space for ourselves.
We would all benefit from Grounding into the Earth and Connecting with Nature.
We would all benefit from acknowledging the parts of ourselves that we have been ignoring or have forgotten.
We would all benefit from becoming more embodied and Whole.
We have all lost connection and/or access to certain parts of ourselves, and it often requires us to shed the parts of us that are not real,
the parts that are contrived, the parts that were given to us by society, or that were created through fear and a need to survive.
We all have the ability to come into contact with the original aspect of ourselves.
We all have the ability to let go of the tension in your bodies, to create Space within ourselves, to Connect with our Hearts and with our Higher Selves,
to come to a place where we can hear and Trust our Intuition and to find the parts of ourselves we have forgotten and bring those parts home.
Please join me on this Journey Home!
I think great change will occur in the World if we can all reclaim our authentic selves,
if we can more fully connect with our Hearts, with our Bodies, with Nature, and with God.
I look forward to going on this Journey with You!!
